Solar Activity

Solar activity was Active in the last 24 hours.
There were 8 flares with 6 C-class flares and 2 M-class flares in the last 24 hours. The maximum flare class was M1.3 from NOAA 3638 peaked at 17:12UT. There were 11 solar radioburst all of which are type-III occurred in the last 24 hours. There was 6 CME event in the last 24 hours. 

The east-directed CME has the highest median velocity of 781 km/s with an angular width of 10 degrees and the west-directed CME has the highest median velocity of 289 km/s with an angular width of 20 degrees.

The latest SDO/HMI Intensitygram data shows 12 active regions (NOAA 3639,3643,3644,3645,3646,3647,3648,3652,3654,3655,3656,3657) and the latest BBSO H-Alpha data shows 3 H-Alpha plages (NOAA 3650,3651,3653). STEREO/EUVI observation shows 1 Regions Due to Return 26 Apr to 28 Apr from the east limb of the Solar disk.

Geomagnetic Activity

The geomagnetic activity was on quiet level for the last 24 hours.

The solar wind speed fluctuate between 318 km/s and 422 km/s, north-south component of interplanetary magnetic field decrease from 4.8 nT to -0.7 nT. There were geoeffective coronal holes at western equator and central equator, while the others at eastern equator, south-east, north-east and north-west were not geoeffective. CME on 25 April 2024 17:36 UT was mainly errupted toward south-west with speed of 222 km/s and angular width of 62°. The CME was geoeffective and is likely to have not impact until next 3 days.

Ionospheric Activity

Ionosphere was in Quiet for the last 24 hours.
There was no depression of foF2 lower than 30% of its median value. There was an increment of fmin more than 30% of its median values for 15 minutes and Spread-F appeared for 60 minutes. The Sporadic-E occurred in the night and daytime with foEs value exceeded the foF2 for 210 minutes. The S4 index values (condition of ionospheric scintillation ) reached 0.8 over Pontianak. The TEC index over Pontianak was 104.61 maximum and it has been at a Quiet level in the last 24 hours.
